Corridor/Japanese Garden

A path connecting the garden and the sea

The design and construction of the corridor were handled by the "Ikaruga Kōsha," a group of carpenters specializing in temple and shrine architecture.

The atmosphere of the building and garden blend naturally, with a deliberately understated presence.
We aimed for a corridor that isn't ostentatious like a temple or shrine, but one that anyone can walk through with a sense of familiarity.

By carefully adjusting the dimensions and fit, and by not letting the technique be too prominent,
The charm of the garden and buildings is further enhanced.

On sunny days, as you proceed from the corridor into the garden, feeling the sea breeze and the changing light,
The comfort of the space deepens.

To our international customers,
Experience the warmth of wood and Japanese craftsmanship gently.

A quiet garden scene reflecting the four seasons.

The Japanese garden was created by the gardening group "Doppouen."

Attention is paid to each stone setting and planting,
The garden's expression changes the more you walk through it.

Allowing for some free time during your stay,
Guides you to a feeling of your breath slowly calming down.

The scenery viewed from the corridor, of course, as well as the shadows where your gaze might fall,
To the path where the wind blows through,
Please enjoy it with the nature of Awaji Island.

Colors and scents change with the seasons, offering new discoveries with each visit.
